Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S5 will launch globally on the 11th of April, but the developers at XDA-Developers forum have already figured out a way to gain root access to the smartphone.
This was done by the Developer Chainfire, a very reputed developer who has a great track record. The procedure would only work on the international version of the device (SM-G900F), which features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset. A root solution for the Exynos octa-core varient is still not available yet, but we are sure it will also land very soon.
Samsung Galaxy S5 can be rooted by flashing the CF-Auto-Root package using Odin. The tool will install SuperSU on your device before restoring the stock recovery to allow you to gain root access on your smartphone in a just a few minutes. This is the method used on current flagships like the S4 or Note 3 to gain root access.

Before continuing please keep in mind that rooting or flashing ROMs involves some risk and would usually void your warranty. Samsung has Knox, which still can’t be re-setted.
