Over the last few days Facebook have been rolling out the Updated Facebook Messenger for Android & iOS. But with the launch of iOS 7, iOS Users got to try the Freshly made Facebook app on iOS 7. Now with the launch of Android 4.4 KitKat it seems like Facebook is trying to update the Facebook Android App to implement a much cleaner look.

Unfortunately, there’s no easy way to check this out for yourself just yet; though an APK of this release is available (and you’ll find it through the source link), the flatter UI you’ll notice above appears to be an option configured by Facebook on the server end, leaving most of us (including users signed up to beta test) out of luck.

From these few pictures we have we can see that it’s clear and for all we know there could be even more changes in store before Facebook makes this release public. In order to test the new app we will have to wait till Facebook roll it out to the public.
