This might come as a shocker for some, but it seems like Google is ready to bring Android M. Android M was spotted in the Google I/O Schedule and since then everyone has been talking about it. Google I/O is Google’s Annual Developer Conference.

Last year Google announced Android Lollipop (Which was known as Android L back then) at Google I/O, and also released a Developer Preview to the Public. So there is a good chance for us to think that Google might do the same this year. Google hasn’t officially come out and confirmed this directly, but a session description that briefly appeared as part of the I/O schedule made specific mention of “Android M”. “Android at Work” session only says Android M “brings power of Android to all kinds of workplaces”. This has since been removed.

At this point we don’t have much details about what to expect. I think Google might first start by removing the major bugs that are in place right now. According to The Verge, Another session focused on “interruptions” hints that the company has been working to refine the new approach to notifications that came alongside Lollipop. Yet another session mentions something called “Voice Access” and suggests Google wants to let users control every feature of Android apps (and the device they’re running on using only their voice. Google might try to make use of the “OK Google” command even more this way.

I’m really excited to see what Google will bring to the table at Google I/O 2015. Google I/O 2015 will be on the 28 & 29th of May and the keynote will led by Sundar Pichai.

Stay tuned to Andro Dollar for the latest, and Expect a Live blog of the Keynote on the 28th on Andro Dollar. Share the great news about with your friends and drop a comment with what you think “M” will stand for in “Android M”.
