Anybody who has lost a phone by either dunking it in a toilet or being pushed into a swimming pool will truly appreciate a phone with waterproof qualities.Though the current Galaxy flagship does a waterproof brother : the S4 Active,rumors via ZDnet Korea suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be waterproof and dustproof.
The Korean electronics giant’s video, published Friday, gives a starring role to the number 5 in the video then concludes with the words “the next Galaxy.” That broad a hint doesn’t leave much to the imagination, though unlike many teaser videos, the phone itself doesn’t make an appearance even in silhouetted form.
By showing a boy on a waterslide with the words “Wet5” overlaid, the video does suggest that one rumored feature — that the Galaxy S5 will be waterproof — has some truth.
Recent leaks also point to an eye-melting screen for the S5, with a resolution of 1,440×2,560 pixels. With the phone recast to measure 5.2 inches, that would be hugely detailed 560 pixels per inch. The Galaxy S5 is slated for unveiling at next week’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
