Apple AirPods delay may be due to perfomance and dual Bluetooth connectivity

Remember the Apple AirPods? Apple’s Wireless Earbuds. They were originally planned for release in late October but, Apple said it needed “a little more time” and we still have not heard anything about a possible release date.

There are only 3 weeks left in the year and we have no idea when it will drop even though some reports claimed a December launch. While we have not received any specific explanation for the delay officially, a new report highlighting the situation from the WSJ (Wall Street Journal) may reveal some news.

According to a Wall Street Journal, the delay may be due to how AirPods require two active wireless connections to deliver simultaneous streams. A person in development of the AirPod said the trouble appears to come from Apple’s effort to chart a new path for wireless headphones. In most other wireless headphones, only one earpiece receives a signal from the phone via wireless Bluetooth technology; it then transmits the signal to the other earpiece. That person said Apple also must resolve what happens when a user loses one of the earpieces or the battery dies.

We are not sure when this will actually launch but I know that most people are patiently waiting for the AirPods to try the Wireless Future.

What do you think about the delay? Is it acceptable? Drop a comment and let me know and Share and let the world know why the AirPods are delayed.
